Educating and Reaching Young Men

Ryogoku Soccer Academy was born out of a need to support, challenge, and bring awareness to the young men of Kansas City. We believe that by supporting each individual's cognitive, social, physical, and moral development, we can create a community in which our young men can thrive.

Young men require a different level of support when compared to their female counterparts. In traditional school settings, males are more likely to be disciplined for their behavior, labeled with special needs, and outwardly state that school is a waste of time. Young men overall require more individual attention, are more likely to “act out”, tend to register lower reading abilities, and are less likely to attend a post-secondary educational environment.

We believe we have created a model that can more effectively meet the needs of our young men.

A focus on empowering each individual, allowing each person to guide and activate their personal educational journey.

Providing an all-encompassing educational experience that goes beyond the norm.

A systematic approach to soccer, where students can train in a challenging and focused environment.

Giving young men a quality educational opportunity in their neighborhood.
